What makes these checking accounts better than the rest?

With our Premium and Elite checking accounts, you're eligible for special money-saving and peace-of-mind protection benefits powered by BaZing. Our checking lineup gives you access to products and services you may already be paying for, at a fraction of the cost. 

How do I earn and redeem BaZing Fuel Rewards?

To begin earning fuel rewards, link your NASA Federal checking account or credit card using the Smart Perks app. Then swipe your debit card or credit card 15 times each month to earn fuel savings. You can save a minium of 10 cents per gallon up to 20 gallons at participating Shell stations.

To redeem your fuel rewards:

  • - Choose Fuel Rewards (FR) from the pump
  • - Chose Alt ID
  • - Enter your Rewards Alt ID shown with the BaZing Fuel section of the Smart Perks app

Who do I contact if I have a problem using the BaZing app or accessing my benefits?

For questions or issues with using your BaZing benefits or the NASA FCU Smart Perks app, you can contact BaZing Customer Service directly by email at Customer.Service@bazing.com or by phone at 855-UBAZING (855-822-9464). BaZing Customer Service is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. CT. 

I received a letter about my account changing. What does it mean?

We have updated our checking account options to better serve our members. On August 15, 2024, all previously established checking accounts will convert to one of our new accounts. Your new account may now come with additional money-saving or peace-of-mind protection benefits offered through BaZing.

1 Cash back will accumulate throughout the calendar year. On the last day of each calendar year (December 31), we will automatically redeem each positive signature transaction for $.05 and each positive PIN transaction for $.02, subject to a total annual redemption amount limit per member of $250, and deposit this amount into a Prime Share Savings Account linked to the Checking Account. Cash back will not be redeemed if the Checking Account is closed, any loan is delinquent or charged-off, or any Account has been expelled from membership at NASA Federal Credit Union. ATM transactions are not qualifying transactions. See Debit Card Cash Back Terms and Conditions for more information.

5 You’ll receive a one-time activation reward of $0.10 per gallon when you activate BaZing Fuel. You’ll earn a monthly reward of $0.10 per gallon each month when you have 15 eligible debit or credit card transactions post and settle during the Monthly Qualification Cycle (MQC), which is defined as the first day of the month through the last day of the month. Only transactions posted during the MQC will count towards the monthly reward for that MQC. The following activities do not count toward earning BaZing Fuel: ATM withdrawals, transfers between accounts, deposit or refund transactions. Transactions posted during the MQC greater than the monthly reward requirement will be stored to count towards a bonus reward of $0.10 per gallon. When you have 50 stored bonus transactions you will earn the bonus reward. You will continue to earn bonus rewards for every 50 stored bonus transactions accrued. If the required monthly reward transaction count is not met during the MQC, no transactions are counted for any reward during that MQC or the bonus reward. BaZing Fuel is limited to 20 gallons of fuel per purchase, per vehicle, or fraud limits placed by Shell and/or limits placed on your payment card by your financial institution, each of which may be lower. To activate, you will need to have online banking with your financial institution. Refer to the BaZing Fuel Terms and Conditions for full disclosures. BaZing Fuel offer may be changed at any time and without notice.
