COLLATERAL INSURANCE
We’ve joined with an excellent resource to help manage the Collateral Protection Insurance element of our mortgage loan program. In partnership, we have formed the NASA Federal Credit Union Insurance Service Center.
This company will help the Credit Union request, record and maintain insurance records on the property securing your mortgage loan. It is always wise to have your investment protected by obtaining hazard and any other applicable coverages (flood, wind, etc.).

Your insurance coverage should meet the following minimum requirements:
- NASA Federal Credit Union ISAOA/ATIMA is listed as Mortgagee in the appropriate lien position
- The coverage amount is equal to the replacement cost value (RCV) as determined by your insurance carrier
- Each required peril is covered under your current insurance policy (in insurance talk a peril is an event, like a fire or break-in, that may damage your home)
