NASA Federal makes paying with your credit card secure, convenient, and touch-free with contactless ways to pay.

Contactless payments are transactions made by tapping either a contactless card or payment-enabled mobile or wearable device over a contactless-enabled terminal. Cards, phones, watches, and other devices use the same contactless technology. When you tap to pay, checkout is secure and convenient.

Look for the contactless symbol at checkout.
Tap or wave your card, smartphone, or smartwatch at the terminal to complete your purchase.
Once your payment is completed, you are good to go.

Are contactless payments secure?

Yes, tapping to pay with your NASA Federal contactless card is a secure way to pay because each transaction generates a transaction-specific, one-time code that is extremely effective in reducing counterfeit fraud. 

To make a payment, your NASA Federal card must be placed within 2 inches of the Contactless Symbol  contactlesspaymentlogo located on the checkout terminal in order for the transaction to take place (so you can’t pay accidentally). Plus, with Visa’s Zero Liability Policy, you can rest assured that your protected from fraud losses and unauthorized purchases.*

Can I use my smartphone instead?

Yes! You can use your smartphone or smartwatch to pay in stores or online. Just add your NASA Federal credit card to one of the following three payment apps. In-store and in-app purchases have never been easier.
