FAQs

Will my account number, direct deposit, or automatic payments change?

No. Your existing account number will remain the same, so all direct deposits and automatic payments to and from your account will continue.

Will I have to change my debit, credit or ATM cards? What about my online banking and bill pay information? 

No. Your card numbers will remain the same, as will your online banking and bill pay information.

Do I have to order new checks? 

No. Since your account number will not change, your existing checks will still be valid. 

I received a letter about my account changing. What does it mean?

We have updated our checking account options to better serve our members. On August 15, 2024, all previously established checking accounts will convert to one of our new accounts. Your new account may now come with additional money-saving or peace-of-mind protection benefits offered through BaZing.

What makes the new checking accounts different?

With our Premium and Elite checking accounts, you're now eligible for special money-saving and peace-of-mind protection benefits powered by BaZing. Our new checking lineup gives you access to products and services you may already be paying for, at a fraction of the cost. 

When are my new benefits available?

Your account change and personal protection benefits, including insurance benefits, are effective August 15, 2024, but
you can immediately take advantage of your discounts and savings.

How can I access the benefits of my new account?

To get started:

  • Register and activate with Bazing:

  • Answer a few questions about yourself and click submit. You’ll receive an email and text message with instructions to access your benefits through the website and the NASA FCU Smart Perks app. 

  • Once activated, log in to the NASA FCU Smart Perks app and see all of your benefits including the ability to search for deals and discounts. Once you find something you like, simply present the coupon to the retailer for instant savings.

How do I earn and redeem BaZing Fuel Rewards?

To begin earning fuel rewards, link your NASA Federal checking account or credit card using the Smart Perks app. Then swipe your debit card or credit card 15 times each month to earn fuel savings. You can save a minium of 10 cents per gallon up to 20 gallons at participating Shell stations.

To redeem your fuel rewards:

  • - Choose Fuel Rewards (FR) from the pump
  • - Chose Alt ID
  • - Enter your Rewards Alt ID shown with the BaZing Fuel section of the Smart Perks app

Who do I contact if I have a problem using the BaZing app or accessing my benefits?

For questions or issues with using your BaZing benefits or the NASA FCU Smart Perks app, you can contact BaZing Customer Service directly by email at Customer.Service@bazing.com or by phone at 855-UBAZING (855-822-9464). BaZing Customer Service is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. CT.
